Strategic Management and Organizational Design of Health Care Systems

Catalog description

This course is designed to help students develop a thorough understanding of health care strategy and strategic management in order to provide effective leadership in future roles. In this course students will grapple with key strategic questions and develop an analytical framework for strategic management. Students will read and discuss various theoretical concepts and models, and then apply this knowledge to actual case studies focusing on many of the major issues and common challenges in health care. In doing so, students will assume the position of the leader and determine how best to lead and manage in that situation. This course is designed to provide students with confidence in working with strategy. (MPA-ECONPL)
