Catalog description

Plant Sciences Data Management Tools and Practices is an introduction to the rapidly changing world of data management and the tools and best practices for managing data with a focus on conducting research in the plant sciences. Students will gain an understanding of the types of data in collected in all aspects or plant science research and how to use and curate data using appropriate resources and tools as required by all major funding agencies and research publishing entities. Additional emphasis will be placed on facilitating an active learning environment where students can practice using the data management tools and resources with data sets from relevant plant science fields.
