Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming financial services, introducing new forms of models such as machine learning systems, foundation models, and large language models that operate very differently from traditional financial models. This course provides a rigorous treatment of AI model risk management in financial institutions, combining traditional model governance principles with modern AI system design. Students will study how AI models are developed, evaluated, monitored, and governed in regulated financial environments.
