Catalog description

Johnson Board Fellows is an experiential leadership course in which students learn and apply leadership skills in the nonprofit board context. Through this course, JBFs will learn about nonprofit governance and leadership, board dynamics, effective board behavior, and further develop their own leadership style and skills. Each student will serve on the board of an assigned local nonprofit for the academic year, where they will apply their learnings and complete a capstone project. This course provides a unique opportunity for students to apply their skills in the community to have real impact as they develop as leaders.
