Catalog description

This seminar will engage in a serious of close readings of select narrative texts (in translation) from the Hebrew Bible with a focus on literary techniques and aesthetic values informing their composition. Participants will be expected to study the text carefully in advance of each meeting and come to class prepared to discuss how the text means.
