Catalog description
An intermediate-level course on applied artificial intelligence suitable for students from all backgrounds who have completed INFO 1720 or an equivalent introduction to applied AI. This course moves beyond AI literacy to examine the technical implementation and design principles of contemporary AI systems. Students will use modern tools to develop integrated agentic AI workflows built on programmatic interfaces to automate complex tasks on diverse data. Finally, students will evaluate the technical, social, and ethical trade-offs inherent in AI deployment, preparing them to lead responsible innovation in an evolving technological landscape.
