Catalog description

This course introduces students to the latest research methodologies and scholarly debates that have animated and reshaped the history of slavery and abolition in recent years. Assigned readings will approach the phenomenon of enslavement from multiple angles and will span the full breadth of the Atlantic World, from ca. 1450-1900.
