Physical Chemistry II

Catalog description

Second course in a two-semester sequence on physical chemistry. The course covers thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, and chemical kinetics. Emphasis is placed on developing a quantitative toolkit for physical chemistry and applying it towards explaining and quantifying experimental observations. Together, CHEM 3870 and 3880 satisfy the minimum requirement for physical chemistry for the chemistry major.
