Molecular Basis of Aging Biology

Catalog description

This course primarily focuses on the genetic, molecular and cellular basis of aging biology, with an emphasis on how experimental insights obtained from animal and cell models inform our understanding of the aging process. We will also learn about the evolutionary aspect of aging based on comparative studies. Subject matter will include not only what we know about the molecular basis of aging biology but also how we learned it. The course is designed to introduce the conserved pathways and processes that influence aging biology.
