Ten Ways of Looking at Architecture

This course is intended to introduce non-architecture students to the art and practice of architectural design. The course inquires into the different ways in which architecture is a platform to understand, represent and transform the world. Architects are designers but also researchers, cartographers, entrepreneurs, advocates, storytellers and public intellectuals among many things. Through a series of lectures, readings, spatial exercises and group discussions, students will develop the skills to appreciate architecture and the shaping of the built environment but also use architecture as a tool to see the world in an expanded way.
