Catalog description

A study of the International Phonetic Alphabet and training in the phonetic transcription of speech for improvement of voice and diction. Includes physical characteristics and production of sounds in American English, auditory training, articulation and standard pronunciations, and voice production. Three hour lecture per week. Credit, three semester hours.
