Student Teaching/Practicum (DS3)

Catalog description

Prerequisites: ECHD-109, 120, 124, 133 (133 may be taken concurrently), 144, 161, 220, and CDEV-C1000 This course has two components which are composed of seminar/lecture and field placement/practicum. The seminar portion consists of class time that is used to promote a further understanding of professional development and the experiences encountered in practice teaching. The field experience requires students to complete 108 hours of practical experience with young children. Students may complete this requirement at the lab school on campus or under the supervision of a Mentor teacher at an approved site.
