An Intersectional Approach to Individual and Family Diversity in the U.S

Catalog description

A developmental, interdisciplinary, and intersectional examination of the issues and experiences of diverse individuals and families across the lifespan and within sociological and psychological contexts in the United States. Explores both family-level diversity and individual-level diversity, the role of structural oppression, and how these intersect across the lifespan. Students will critically examine theory, empirical research, and methodological issues in the field related to the study of these topics.
