Study of philosophical discourse on human rights from the Enlightenment to the present and analysis of related ethical problems in conjunction with an examination of relevant literary texts, film, and other art forms. Study of Germany's role in the violation of human rights and the development of international human rights instruments. Taught in English. Formerly offered as GERM 1175.
