Catalog description
Econometric methods used in contemporary applied economic data analysis to examine causal relationships as well as machine learning techniques. Covered techniques include, but are not limited to, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, synthetic control methods, and causal forest. Emphasis in lecture will be placed on formulating identification strategies and implementing in standard statistical software (of the student's choosing).
