Catalog description

This course develops advanced professional communication and digital identity skills for graduate students in the animal and biological sciences. Students learn to communicate their research effectively through oral presentations, poster design, and creation of an authentic digital professional presence. In addition, they will be introduced to the basics of pedagogy with a focus on different instruction modalities including in-class and online instruction. The course culminates in a short “About Me” video project suitable for sharing on LinkedIn, a lab website, or other online platforms. Peer feedback and reflection guide students toward clear, confident, and professional self-presentation.
