Examination of hispanophone, francophone, and anglophone works of literature and thought from the 20th and 21st century insular and coastal Caribbean. Course discussions focus on the aesthetic and conceptual strategies Caribbean writers employ in response to the literary, intellectual, and sociopolitical contexts that bring their work into being.
