Advanced Topics in Applied Statistics for Health Research

Catalog description

This seminar provides an overview of advanced statistical methods that find frequent application in the analysis of data from contemporary approaches to biological, clinical, and epidemiological health research. Discussions and assignments will focus on the research hypotheses, study designs, and data structures that motivate the use of each technique and will identify software options for applying the method. Students will identify data sets appropriate to the application of two methods and perform illustrative analyses of them.
