Nursing Leadership Application Practicum

Catalog description

This practicum focuses on the implementation of the advanced practice nursing role in administration and nursing leadership. Program content focusing on delivery of person-centered care, promotion of self-care management, population health and principles of advanced-level nursing education scholarship is highlighted. Leadership knowledge for nursing practice, care delivery, interpersonal communications and professional development are applied in the students' practicum setting. Application and integration of concepts addressed in Nursing 5245 will be emphasized. The practice setting provides an opportunity to observe system problems and develop clinical leadership strategies, emphasizing innovation and respect for diversity.
