Exploration of bebop tradition through the language of pioneering artists. Instruction focuses on achieving fluency through the study of idiomatic rhythmic and melodic phrasings, classic repertoire, and essential concepts. Emphasis on the application of these materials within common chord progressions to develop the skills necessary to create dynamic improvisations rooted in jazz history.
