Catalog description

Examination of current and historical diversity of family structures in the U.S., including single-caregiver, two-caregiver, multiple-caregiver, and nonbiological-caregiver families; families with and without children; multigenerational families; and extended kinship structures. Intersections of family structures with race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and sexual/gender identities. Ways that historical and current laws, policies, and cultural norms shape family structures, and the predictors, characteristics, and outcomes of diverse family structures for individuals and families.
