Catalog description

This course focuses on the major literary work that is on the list of nearly all great books lists, Don Quijote de la Mancha, and its literary and cultural importance in the Iberian Peninsula and the world. This canonical text is read in this course from a Christian perspective and is discussed in relation to the Church and the World, and this foundational modern novel is studied in dialogue with Lutheran doctrine, which ultimately prepares students to conduct literary studies from a Christian perspective. Prerequisites: (SPAN 301 or 3010 ).
