Catalog description

This course provides the student with a perspective for viewing major problems confronting American society. An eclectic approach is utilized in the analysis of these problems, selected research studies are evaluated and field research trips are conducted as time allows. Special attention is given to mental health, crime, delinquency, poverty. mass media communication, prejudice, discrimination, and urbanization. Prerequisites: (SOC 101 or 1010 ).
