Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Seminar

Catalog description
This once-weekly seminar series serves to introduce timely Infectious Diseases (ID) Pharmacotherapy topics to the student, and it will facilitate a more detailed discussion of select ID conditions. The role of the pharmacist in ID state management will be emphasized using an interactive Grand Rounds type format. Students will be asked to prepare in advance and will be expected come to seminar with analytical questions for the speaker. In addition to presentations by CUW SOP faculty members, local expert pharmacists will present in their areas of expertise. Students will be assessed based upon participation and targeted assignments that correlate with select seminar presentations. Students will also complete a service project as part of this elective course. Prerequisites: (PHAR 452 or 6530 ).
