Catalog description

focuses on a single author, whose Latin writings will be explored in depth. Grammar and syntactical styles associated with this writer will be examined, as will the content of the texts, and how they relate to the culture of today. The student and the teacher will together decide on the Roman authors include Jerome, Augustine, Virgil, Petronius, Cicero, Caesar, Horace, Pliny, and Seneca. Prerequisites: (LAT 306 or 3060 ).
