Catalog description

This course applies mechanics of materials concepts to machine components. Static and fatigue failure theories are applied to the selection of machine components such as shafts, gears, springs and threaded fasteners. A design synthesis of an open-ended problem requiring selection of multiple machine components is included. Prerequisite: ENGR 3210 .
