Catalog description
Candidates will receive instruction and support for participation in a clinical experience (minimum 15 hours) in a classroom appropriate to their program certification level (elementary, middle, or secondary). Under the supervision and direction of the mentor/classroom teacher, candidates will engage in assessment activities with students, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of assessment types, including formative, summative, standardized, and project-based methods. Candidates will learn how to interpret and use assessment data to monitor student progress, guide instructional decisions, and improve learning outcomes.
