Catalog description

This course explores IEP and IFSP team membership and roles, special education eligibility, and service delivery models from early intervention to adult transition programs. Problem based learning is utilized to instruct students in interpreting student data, writing legally compliant and meaningful IEPs and IFSPs, and to serve on school-based teams. Emphasis is placed on effective collaboration and communication, and advocacy for students with disabilities and their families. Prerequisite: minimum score of 01 in 'Upper Division Status'.
