Catalog description

This course offers a framework for adapting the general education curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities and mental health challenges. Curriculum adaptations, modifications, and accommodations are defined and scrutinized. Planned supports such as instructional strategies, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning, and assistive technology are explored as ways to accommodate students with diverse needs in the general education environment and curriculum. The course includes an emphasis on unit and lesson planning. Prerequisite: minimum score of 01 in 'Upper Division Status'.
