Catalog description

This course covers the developmental stages of speech, language, and cognition from the prenatal period through adulthood. In addition, this course outlines theories of acquisition and defines specific components of speech and language (phonology, syntax, morphology, semantics, and pragmatics), and cognition. An emphasis is placed on procedures for description and analysis commonly used in communication sciences and disorders with considerations for application across cultures.
