Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to clinical phonetics. Students receive training and guided practice in transcription skills using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for characterizing production of speech sounds and speech errors, phonetic transcription of normal and disordered speech, and phonetic variation associated with dialects of English.
