Catalog description

The practical nurse role in observation and collection of data is presented with emphasis on observing the physical, psychosocial and developmental components of adult and geriatric clients. The concepts of critical thinking, communication and promotion of safety and self-care taught in PNUR 1766 will be applied in the clinical setting. Clinical experiences will be conducted in a variety of geriatric settings. Students must take and pass both PNUR 1766 and PNUR 1866 in the same semester. Failure of one equals failure of both.
