Concepts of Nursing Care Related to Children and Families

Catalog description

This course will focus on the integration of concepts related to family centered nursing care of the child. Students will focus on Health and illness concepts; oxygenation, perfusion, cellular regulation, elimination, protection and metabolism while integrating the concepts of health promotion, development and professionalism. QSEN concepts will be applied to all methods of instruction. Students will apply the nursing process using age appropriate aspects as related to health promotion and care of the hospitalized child.
