This course provides students with the mathematical skills and strategies required to successfully work in various pharmacy practice settings. Topics covered include: an introduction to the metric and apothecary systems of measure, dose conversions, strengths of solutions, unit conversions between Fahrenheit and Celsius scales, ratio and proportion calculations, common abbreviations used in interpreting prescriptions, and dosage calculations.
