Clinical Practicum: Medical Assisting

Catalog description

This course offers students the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a physician’s office. Under the supervision of a licensed physician and/or a certified medical assistant preceptor, students will apply administrative, clinical, affective, and laboratory skills essential to patient care. Each student will complete a total of 210 unpaid externship hours in an assigned healthcare setting.
