Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the electronic health record (EHR) and its role in modern healthcare settings. Students will explore the theoretical foundations and practical applications of EHR systems, including the creation of physician databases, preparation of patient demographic information, and management of daily appointment scheduling. The course also includes an overview of diagnostic and procedural coding, as well as insurance claim submission processes. Through office simulations, students will apply core principles of EHR management.
