Catalog description

This course is a clinical experience conducted in conjunction with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The student will have the opportunity to work with the massage therapy staff of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the care and treatment of patients of the hospital in a variety of the clinical specialty units. The care unit students may work in include but are not limited to: General Surgery, Burns, Hematology/Oncology, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Heart & Lung Transplant, Pediatric Intensive Care, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The course will also discuss issues surrounding the death and dying of patients.
