Catalog description

Negotiation is a critical factor in successfully running a lodging organization. This course will provide hands-on experience in the negotiations associated with the lodging industry. Through the use of case study analysis, discussions, and various writing exercises, the student will acquire the necessary skills to enter into negotiations within the lodging industry. Students will become familiar with negotiation strategies and negotiating styles. Students will also learn how to adjust their specific negotiating style to respond appropriately to others' different personalities and negotiation tactics. This course will also provide an in-depth understanding of negotiating within real estate development.
