Experiential Learning/Seminar HIM Applications

Catalog description

This course is intended to help students bridge the gap between the classroom and the HIM work environment. Students are required to complete 105 hours of experiential learning/practicum experiences. Experiential hours are completed throughout the semester and vary depending on project/experience availability. The student attends a one hour seminar meeting each week. Practicum projects focus on HIM functions and skills required to meet entry-level performance indicators that draw on concepts studied throughout the HIMT curriculum.
