Community Relations

Catalog description

This course examines the complex relationship between the police and the public they serve. Areas of potential problems will be discussed and programs and procedures for enhancing the relationship will be presented. Students will critically examine the effectiveness of various Community Policing programs particularly in terms of limited budget and funding availability and whether such programming should continue to be a part of modern law enforcement agencies priorities.
