The fourth installment of a four-course sequence designed to provide students majoring in biotechnology a solid working knowledge of how to purify proteins as well as give them hands on experience with the techniques. Subjects covered in the course include solutions, separation of proteins using different types of chromatography, monitoring protein purity using gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry, and bioinformatics.
