Catalog description

BIO 2215 is a general microbiology course for biology majors (non-microbiology majors). General concepts in microbial diversity, metabolism, physical and chemical methods for microbial control, immunology, host defense mechanisms, and specific microbial diseases are covered. This course includes a hands-on laboratory component covering topics such as staining and culture techniques, identification and clinical applications.
