Advanced Automated Control Systems

Catalog description

This course is restricted to students presently studying under the direction and oversight of an approved apprenticeship program, working in partnership with Columbus State Community College. This class is designed for students who have experience performing finish work with manually controlled machines. Automatic control systems will be used on graders, dozers, and excavators for this class. The student will gain knowledge using "Global Positioning Systems" and "Total Station Controls". Topics covered include equipment setup, benching, screen views, setup on known stations, setup on free stations, and troubleshooting.
