Advanced Lasers

Catalog description

This course is restricted to students presently studying under the direction and oversight of an approved apprenticeship program, working in partnership with Columbus State Community College. This class is designed for students that want or need to use laser instruments. Students taking this course should have a background in grade checking and possess good math skills. Information on set-up and use of rotating beam lasers will be covered. Students will design and complete a project using an automatic laser controlled machine. Topics covered include calculating percentages of grade, determining elevations, proper laser setup of laser-controlled machines.
