Air Compressor Systems

Catalog description

This course is restricted to students presently studying under the direction and oversight of an approved apprenticeship program, working in partnership with Columbus State Community College. Content for this course covers the procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of reciprocating and rotary air compressors. Typical maintenance operations will be performed during lab time. Packing and seal procedures for selecting and installing packing for values, pumps, and all types of machinery are covered. Lab sessions demonstrating proficiency in removal, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of air compressor are required.
