This Fall semester introductory Hindi course is the first part of a year-long sequence (Fall and Spring semesters) designed for true beginners with no prior proficiency in the language. It offers a comprehensive foundation, starting with the introduction to the Hindi script. The course focuses on developing proficiency in all key language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening— while cultivating an appreciation for cultural awareness. Through engaging lessons and activities, students will acquire practical vocabulary and basic sentence structures, enabling meaningful communication in everyday personal and social contexts. The course also incorporates audiovisual materials, such as short films and songs, to deepen cultural understanding and enhance student engagement
