Corequisites: BIOL UN2005 Introduction to the statistical mechanics and thermodynamics of biological systems, with a focus on connecting microscopic molecular properties to macroscopic states. Both classical and statistical thermodynamics will be applied to biological systems; phase equilibria, chemical reactions, and colligative properties.
