Explores fundamental biological concepts and theories about the cellular and molecular basis of life including cell structure and function, metabolism, genetic basis of inheritance and how information flows from DNA to proteins, with a focus on the iterative process of science. Intended for science majors. Prerequisites: Placement into MTH 65 or MTH 98. Prerequisite/concurrent: WR 121Z and CH 100 or higher. Audit available. Liquids, Solids and Intermolecular Forces, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, and Chemical Equilibrium. This is the second course in a sequence that is designed for students who have had no previous training in chemistry. Entering students are expected to have a working knowledge of high school algebra, logarithms, and scientific notation. Prerequisite: CH 121. Audit available.
