Catalog description

Examines the visual arts of the 19th century in Europe and America. Explores the beginnings of the modern world and societies focusing on the effects of societal changes to gain insight into our modern world. Surveys 19th century historical art movements and styles, including: Neoclassicism, Realism, Post-Impressionism, Art Nouveau, and Symbolism. Prerequisite: placement into MTH 65 or MTH 98. Prerequisite/concurrent: WR 121 or WR 121Z. Audit available.
