Catalog description
This course explores the intersection of vocal technique and imagination in creating dynamic acting choices through language. Students practice skillful application of vocal technique to a wide range and style of texts, while learning to build vocal strength, energy, stamina, and flexibility. Students will investigate language through structure, rhythm, image, argument, sound, and sense. A written component of the course requires students to reflect critically on the use of vocal technique in performance.
